Botanical Name: Cissampelos pariera L. [Menispermaceae]
Common Name: लहान पहाडवेल Lahan Pahadvel,   धाकटी पाडावळ Dhakati Padaval,   पहाडमूळ Pahadmul

Distribution: India, Africa and S. Asia. It is also found in the Himalayas, up to altitudes of 2300 m.
Habit: Climber
Habitat: Dry-deciduous, semi-deciduous forests
Flowering and Fruiting: August to October

Male and Female plants are different.

Distribution: Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Kerala Local Distribution: Talzan, SGNP, Haven't observed this in Tungareshwar (may be because its a hilly region at higher elevation) Global Distribution: Endemic to India, Bangladesh, Pakistan , Sri Lanka , Myanmar  Flowering Season:  Perennial , flowering is throughout the year (Mostly November to March).
